چکیده
Abstract Aims To study aetiologies of in-hospital cardiac arrests (IHCAs) and their association with 30-day survival. Methods Observational data from national registries. Specific (n = 22) IHCA patients between April 2018 December 2020 were categorized into vs. non-cardiac six main aetiology categories: myocardial ischemia, other causes, pulmonary infection, haemorrhage, causes. Main endpoints proportions in each aetiology, survival, favourable neurological outcome (Cerebral Performance category scale 1-2) at discharge. Results Among, 4,320 included (median age 74 years, 63.1% men), approximate 50% had causes a survival 48.4% compared to 18.7% among (p < 0.001). The proportion were: ischemia 29.9%, 21.4%, 19.6%, 11.6%, infection 9%, haemorrhage 8.5%. odds ratio (OR) for OR 1.48 (CI 1.24-1.76); 0.36 0.3-0.44); 0.25 0.18-0.33); 0.22 0.16-0.3); 0.56 0.45-0.69). caused by the best while those lowest 0.06 0.03-0.13). Conclusion In this nationwide observational study, evenly distributed. strongest associations outcome.

The Aassociation between Pre-Cardiac Arrest Comorbidity and Unsuccessful Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in Patients with Cardiac Arrest
Background and Objective: Patients suffering from cardiac arrest (CA) have poor prognosis and survival. The association of pre-arrest comorbidity with unsuccessful resuscitation in patients with CA is far from clear. The aim of the present study was to investigate the association between pre-existing comorbidity and unsuccessful resuscitation following CA in Iranian patients. Materials and Met...

Researchers in South Korea previously reported that diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DW-MRI) could be used to predict neurologic outcomes before targeted temperature management (TTM) after return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) from cardiac arrest. In a new study, the same team of researchers compared the efficacy of brain computed tomography (CT) and DW-MRI to predict neurologi...
